After persistently requesting, Kolkata Knight Riders’ batter Rinku Singh has finally received the bat he desired from Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Rinku Singh Finally Received A Bat From Virat Kohli
Recently, a video went viral on the internet ahead of the second leg of the IPL 2024 game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the clip, Rinku Singh can be seen requesting Virat Kohli for his bat because the left-hander broke the bat that Kohli gave him before the first match between the teams.

Rinku Singh: “Spinner pe toot gaya bat..” (I broke the bat (you gave) against a spinner.)
Virat Kohli: Mera bat? (My bat?)
Rinku Singh: Haa..(Yes)
Virat Kohli: Spinner pe tod diya tune? Kaha se toota? (You broke it against a spinner? Where did you break it from?)
Rinku Singh: ye fat gaya poora idhr se..(From the middle.)
Virat Kohli: Toh main kya karu bhai..(What should I do then?)
Rinku Singh: Kuch nahi mai bs bta raha tha..(I was just informing you.)
Virat Kohli: Koi nahi, bta diya tune badiya hai. Mujhe ye information nahi chahiye (No problem. Good that you told me. But I don’t need that information.)
(Rinku then starts knocking the ball on twi of Virat’s bats.)
Virat Kohli: Bekar bat hai yaar…(This bat is no good.)
Rinku Singh: Toh bhej rahe ho aap? (Are you sending one?)
Virat Kohli: Kisko bhej rahe ho? (To whom am I sending?)
Rinku: Lo yaar rakh lo..(You can keep it)
(returns Virat’s bats to him)
Virat Kohli: Ek match pehle le gaya tu bat. 2 match mei tujhe 2 bat du? Teri wajah se na jo meri baadmei halat hoti hai na…(You took a bat from me previously. Now you want a second bat in the second game? Because of you, I face consequences later.)
Rinku: Apki kasam kha raha hoon, fir nahi todunga kabhi bat…(I swear on you, won’t break the bat again. I can show you the broken bat.

However, despite Rinku Singh’s persistence, Virat Kohli did not give him a bat initially. After the match between the teams concluded, Singh continued to follow Kohli and even stood by his side while the senior batter was in discussion with the umpire.
There was curiosity among fans about whether Rinku Singh eventually received a bat from Virat Kohli. A new video surfaced on the internet, showing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter walking with Kohli’s bat. When asked by a cameraman about the bat, Singh confirmed that he did indeed receive it from the RCB batter.
RCB’s performance in the IPL 2024 hasn’t been up to their usual standard, as they’ve suffered losses in seven out of their eight fixtures so far.
