Rishabh Pant Accident: PM Narendra Modi Sends A Warm Message

The Cricket fraternity and fans woke up to the shocking news of Rishabh Pant being involved in a tragic car accident on Friday morning. He met with an accident around 5:30 am on Friday morning after his Mercedes collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The cricketer was on his way back home to surprise his mother and celebrate New Year at his native house.

The vehicle caught fire and Rishabh Pant had to break the windshield to escape the crash. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a statement and revealed the full extent of the injuries to the keeper-batter. The BCCI has stated that Pant has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. The BCCI also clarified that Pant’s condition is stable now.

Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah revealed that he was in touch with Pant’s family and the doctors. He also promised all necessary support from the board in order to aid his recovery. 

Meanwhile, the young talent has been receiving blessings from all corners for his speedy recovery. From celebrities to cricketers around the world, everyone is taking to social media and praying for the Indian keeper. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who suffered a personal tragedy earlier in the day as his mother Heeraben Modi passed away in the morning, also took to his social media and shared his thoughts on Pant. Modi ji also prayed for the speedy recovery of Pant. He wrote:

“Distressed by the accident of noted cricketer Rishabh Pant. I pray for his good health and well-being. @RishabhPant17,”

Earlier in the day, Narendra Modi flew to Gandhinagar to perform the cremation of his mother. Heeraban was 100 years old and died after spending a couple of days in the hospital.
