Rishabh Pant Revealed What He Said To His Teammates After A 1-Run Defeat Against RCB: All thanks to the heroics of Prithvi Shaw his team Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad. Chasing a target of 155 runs, DC got to a blazing start thanks to Prithvi Shaw, who smashed Shivam Mavi for 6 back-to-back fours.

Later, after the match, Rishabh Pant was all praises for Prithvi Shaw. He revealed that the reason behind their approach was that they were looking forward to improving their net run rate. He said:

”I was just telling Shaw to play the normal game. In the end, we were trying to get the run-rate up. Yeah, in these kind of matches, we can afford to think about net run-rate because the match was done by the 12-13th over.”

Further, Rishabh Pant also heaped high praise on Lalit Yadav, who picked two crucial wickets during the middle-overs to get KKR back. Pant said that Lalit Yadav is someone who hasn’t got any opportunities.

Pant was also asked about the 1-run defeat by Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match and how his team coped with it. Responding to this, Pant turned into MS Dhoni and said that his message to the team was to keep on focussing on the process without bothering too much about the result. He said:

“We just tell everyone to enjoy the cricket and do what they can best. I think Lalit is an allrounder. He hasn’t got enough chances with the bat. Last match we lost by just one run. We just told not to change our process. If you trust the process, you get the result,”
