Rishabh Pant Will Not Recover Before The World Cup 2023: Reports

Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant broke the internet as he shared another crucial update about his health. Pant has taken a huge step towards full fitness after almost missing 6 months of competitive cricket.

Rishabh Pant Is Recovering Faster

For the unversed, the explosive Indian batter survived a horrific car crash on December 30. He has been recovering from multiple injuries that he suffered during the crash. Because of the same, he had to miss the entire IPL 2023 and WTC Final 2023. However, he is keen on staging a stunning comeback in a year, when the BCCI will host the ODI World Cup 2023.

Recently, Pant sent social media into a frenzy as he shared a video of himself where he could be seen climbing the stairs without any assistance. Sharing the video, Pant wrote:

“Not bad yaar Rishabh. Simple things can be difficult sometimes.”

Pant’s Comeback Chances Have Suffered A Big Blow

As per the latest developments, Pant is recovering faster than expected and the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) is leaving no stone unturned to fast-track his rehab. Pant has reportedly impressed the BCCI by showing signs of a swift recovery. As per a report by ESPNcricinfo, the apex cricket board of India is trying to get Pant ready for the ODI World Cup this year.

But if media reports are to be believed, Pant will not be able to play like before. It might take him longer than expected because, after the ligament tear, he might face difficulties in running. Besides this, for wicketkeeping, he needs to sit on his knees for a long time, because of which it might take him a long time to take the keeping duties once again. If reports are to be believed than Pant might also miss the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023.

But as they say: comebacks are always stronger than setbacks, fans are waiting for Rishabh Pant to make one of the greatest comebacks ever.
