MS Dhoni, who is regarded as one of the best finishers in the world, has left a huge void in the Indian national cricket team, with his absence from team India. The team management is still looking out for a suitable ‘finisher’ for team India. Though his finishing skills went a bit down after 2015, but still MS Dhoni is the finest finisher to have played for India.
Rishabh Pant, the young batsman-wicketkeeper of India was considered as a replacement for MS Dhoni, however, he failed to make most of the opportunities provided to him, making the job of team management more difficult.

While the team management continues with its hunt for the next MS Dhoni, recently, Robin Uthappa who played with Dhoni for a long time, named the player who can be the next MS Dhoni.
Well, in a chat with Cricift, Robin Uthappa picked Riyan Parag to fill the boots of MS Dhoni. Robin heaped praises on Riyan Parag for his performances. He said:
“Currently, the young player which excites me out of my socks in Riyan Parag. I am extremely excited and he is the one to watch out for. I think he is someone who is looked after well and dealt well and nurtured well and will represent India for a very long time. He could be India’s answer to the next MS Dhoni,”

Riyan Parag, the 18-year-old all-rounder from Assam, rose to fame with his heroics in  IPL 2019, where he became the youngest cricketer to hit a half-century in IPL. He finished the IPL season with 160 runs and two wickets. He said:
“Parag was really impressive; I have been watching him in the nets and with the bat looks like a seasoned campaigner. He’s a great kid and has a great future, I hope I was as confident when I was 17. When you are young and come into a team you have a carefree attitude and kept playing his shots,”
