India star opener Rohit Sharma registered a special milestone in his T20I career as he became only the third cricketer to reach the 3000-run mark in T20I cricket. Rohit Sharma was only 18 runs short of achieving this milestone when he walked out to bat against Namibia during India’s last match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.

Rohit walked out to bat alongwith his batting partner KL Rahul to open the innings for team India. The star opener was given an early lifeline when he was batting on a duck. However, the lifeline proved out to be costly for Namibia as Rohit went on to play a stunning knock.
