The Indian cricket team is all set to lock their horns with the Bangladesh cricket team in the first of the three T20Is on November 3 in Delhi. Rohit Sharma will be donning the hat of captaincy in the absence of Virat Kohli, who has been rested for the series.

However, ahead of the series the Indian team faced a mighty injury scare as Rohit Sharma was hit on his left thigh during the training session.

During the training session, the Indian opener was taking throwdowns when he sustained the injury. Following the incident, Rohit was then forced to walk out of the training session.

As per the sources of Times Of India, Rohit was not at all happy with the pace at which the throwdown delivery was hurled at him. A media release issued by the BCCI and quoted by TOI said: “Rohit Sharma was hit on the left side of his abdomen while batting in the nets today. The BCCI medical team has confirmed that he is fit and available for the first T20I after assessment of his injury.”

And if further reports are to be believed than Rohit Sharma was immediately sent for treatment after the blow and didn’t take further part in the net session.

But the good news is it was just an injury scare, just now, a member of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) source told ANI:

“Sharma is fit and good to go,”

Later in the evening, Rohit Sharma also took to his twitter and share a picture of himself from the net session. He wrote:

“Excited to be back in blues. Cannot wait to get it started #IndvsBan“
