Rohit Sharma Fans Attack Hardik Pandya In Comment Section Of His Latest Insta Post

The fans of Rohit Sharma continue to outrage against Hardik Pandya after the latter replaced the former as the new captain of their IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians.

After being traded back to MI from the Gujarat Titans, where Pandya spent two seasons leading them to one IPL trophy and a runner-up spot, he was announced as the new skipper of Mumbai Indians, taking over from Rohit Sharma, who captained them in the last 10 seasons, winning 5 IPL trophies.

While Rohit Sharma led India brilliantly in the World Cup 2023, taking the team to the final with a 10-game unbeaten streak, the MI management said they have opted to appoint Hardik as the captain with the future in mind.

On Friday, Hardik posted a picture of himself with his brother, Krunal Pandya, their kids, and sitting alongside their four dogs.

Rohit fans attacked Hardik and filled up his comment section with abusive and trolling comments.

Only 20 days after Hardik Pandya was traded back to MI from the Gujarat Titans, Pandya was announced as the new skipper of the franchise. This decision made it clear that Pandya must have put a pre-condition of getting the MI captaincy immediately to trade back to MI after spending two successful years at GT.

The fans of Rohit Sharma are angry and furious at MI for replacing Rohit so unceremoniously. In his 10 years at the MI captain from 2013 to 2022, Rohit led MI to 5 IPL title wins and 1 Champions League trophy. However, MI have failed to reach the final in the last three IPL seasons, and in the meantime, CSK, their biggest rival, won two IPL trophies and equaled their tally of 5 IPL titles.

MI Direcotr of cricket Mahela Jayawardene has explained that MI appointed Hardk as their skipper in view of the future, with Rohit being 36 years old now.

Meanwhile, Rohit is currently preparing to captain India in a 2-Test series in South Africa. India are aiming to win their maiden Test series in South Africa, who are likely to be without Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje.
