India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma is one of the most destructive batsmen to have ever played for team India. Rohit has won team India many games and has played many memorable knocks, including his double tons.

Three years ago, on December 13, India’s destructive batsman Rohit Sharma smashed an unbeaten 208 runs against Sri Lanka, which was his third ODI double century, at PCA-IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Rohit became the first and the only batsman to achieve this feat. It was in 2013 when Rohit Sharma slammed his first 200+ score while playing against Australia. He later scored his highest ODI score of 264 runs against Sri Lanka in Kolkata, in the year 2014.

On Sunday, as Rohit Sharma completed three years to the memorable knock, Star Sports came up with a special tweet, paying a heartfelt tribute to the ‘Hitman’ Sharma. Star Sports wrote:

“#OnThisDay in 2017: Sharmaji ka beta aced a test which would be out-of-syllabus for most people – a 3rd 200 in ODIs for Rohit ‘Hitman’ Sharma.”

Here, check out the tweet:

The tweet soon caught the eyes of Rohit, who came up with a quick reply to the tweet. His reply was nothing more than a treat for his fans. He wrote:

“More to come”

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has finally cleared his rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is all set to join team India in Australia for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Test series Down Under.

Rohit Sharma’s availability is key to team India’s chances of making a mark in the Test series as the Indian skipper Virat Kohli won’t be available for the last three Test matches.
