Before the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur on April 22, the city buzzed with excitement for cricket and its players. The atmosphere was electrifying as the MI team bus got stuck in traffic, adding to the anticipation.

Despite suffering a defeat against RR, the enthusiasm for Rohit remained strong among Jaipur fans, who showed their support for the former captain and the Mumbai team even on the streets.

In a heartening turn of events, when the MI team bus got stuck in traffic, the crowd gathered around, chanting the name of Rohit. In the video, fans could be heard chanting “Mumbai cha Raja Rohit Sharma” (Mumbai’s king is Rohit Sharma) and “Hamara neta kaisa ho? Rohit Sharma jaisa ho” (What should our leader be like? Like Rohit Sharma) repeatedly. However, it is the reaction of Rohit that has stole all the limelight.

Notably, Rohit has been in terrific form in the ongoing IPL 2024, having scored 303 runs in 8 matches at an average of 43. He is among the top 5 run-scorers this season.

However, despite his efforts, MI is currently sitting at the 7th position in the IPL 2024 points table, with 6 points from 8 games. MI will next face Delhi Capitals on April 27th at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
