It was yet another heartbreak for team India in the ICC tournaments as they last won an ICC trophy way back in 2013. A lot was expected from the Indian cricket team but they suffered a 209-run defeat in the World Test Championship 2023 Final after getting bundled out for 234 runs in the second innings. Earlier in the game, Australia posted a total of 469 runs after batting first.
The Indian top order failed miserably in both innings. Rohit’s poor run in the ICC knockout games continued as he failed to make it big on both occasions, scoring just 15 and 43. None of the batters could get past the 50-run mark. Virat Kohli topped the score for India with 49 runs. Earlier Rohit was seen struggling for runs in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
