After a shaky start in the ongoing 2023 World Cup, the Kiwis made a commendable comeback in the ongoing tournament. Coming out to bowl first, the Indian side removed the Kiwi openers early before a sensational stand between Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra helped their team a remarkable comeback.

However, amidst the intense contest between the two arch-rivals, a hilarious incident stole all the limelight when Rohit Sharma couldn’t control himself and burst into laughter.

Rohit Sharma Laughs Out Loud As Kuldeep’s 113 KPH Rocket Hurts Daryl Mitchell

It happened when New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell countered ace Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav and smashed him for a number of massive sixes down the ground. In order to silence Mitchell, Kuldeep fired a 113-KPH thunderbolt that hit the batter on his arm.

Notably, this isn’t the first time that Kuldeep Yadav has done this, as he has been seen using this trick in the Indian Premier League against nonchalant six-hitters.  As the incident took place, Indian captain Rohit Sharma found it funny and he couldn’t control himself as he laughed out loud.

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Watch it here:

Kuldeep recovered well to finish with 2-73. Eventually, Mitchell top-scored for his team as he played a stunning knock of 130 runs as New Zealand was bowled out for 273 runs.

Talking about the game, Mohammed Shami’s five-wicket helped team India restrict New Zealand to 273. Daryl Mitchell (130) and Rachin Ravindra (75) played promising knocks for New Zealand after the side was invited to bat first.

As of writing, team India was at 177/3 in 31.4 overs and is in need of 97 runs in 18.2 overs to win.
