Rohit Sharma Made A Big Statement About Ravi Bishnoi’s Dream Debut: India’s young bowler Ravi Bishnoi made a dream debut for the Indian cricket team as he played a significant role in helping his side defeat West Indies in the first of the ongoing 3 matches T20I series. With this win, the Indian side has now taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Ravi Bishnoi received his maiden India T20 International cap from senior India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. He made a stellar start to his performance as he picked the wickets of Roston Chase and Rovman Powell to end with figures of 2/17 as the Indian cricket team was able to restrict the West Indies to 157/7 in 20 overs.

Impressed with his stunning performance for the Men in Blue in his maiden match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma in the post-match press conference hailed Ravi Bishnoi for his brilliant spell in the debut match. He said:
“Bishnoi is a very talented guy which is why we drafted him into the squad straightaway. We see something different in him. He’s got lot of variations and skill-set with him. He can bowl at any stage and it gives us a lot of options to rotate the other bowlers. Very happy with his first game for India and he’s got a bright future and it’s just about us now on how we use him.”
Later, Ravi Bishnoi, who hails from Jodhpur Rajasthan, won the Player of the Match. Talking about his performance in the post-match conference, Bishnoi said:
“Feeling better now (no nerves). It’s a dream to play for India and it felt good. I was nervous at the start but wanted to contribute for the team as we know West Indies is one of the strongest teams in T20 cricket. It’s slightly a challenge to grip the ball when there’s dew. I never thought about this (winning the MoM) but it’s a dream come true moment for me.”
The Indian side will now take on West Indies in the second T20I at the same venue.
