Rohit Sharma Makes A Big Statement After Virat Requests BCCI To Rest Fast Bowlers In IPL 2019

Recently, many reports surfaced on the media that Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper has requested the BCCI to put the fast bowlers on rest for IPL 2019 because of the upcoming World Cup 2019 that will take place after IPL 2019.

According to Virat Kohli, it is necessary for the fast bowlers to rest as they will play a vital role in the World Cup 2019 and therefore, they should not take part in the IPL 2019. The two fast bowlers in our Indian cricket team at the moment are Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both of the players are currently the most likely candidates to be in the playing XI, while Umesh Yadav, Shami, and Khaleel are still uncertain.

Although, the idea looks beneficiary for the Indian team for the World cup 2019 but the IPL franchises of both the teams will have to suffer because of this. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma doesn’t agree with Virat Kohli on this and isn’t happy with the proposal.

Rohit Sharma, who is the skipper of Mumbai Indians isn’t happy to leave Jasprit Bumrah, who is a key player in his team. He has always been the most vital player and has always contributed in favor of the team. He has been the backbone of the team for their success in the tournament ever since he collaborated with the team.

COA Chief Vinod Rai asked about Rohit Sharma’s take on Virat’s call on resting fast bowlers for IPL 2019, to which Rohit said :

”If Mumbai Indians reach Play Offs or finals and if Bumrah happens to be fit, then I cannot afford to rest him’,”

On the other hand, if we talk about Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he has always been a strong player for his team, Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been pretty remarkable over the years for them.
