World-famous singer and pop star Dua Lipa picked the India captain Rohit Sharma as her favorite cricketer!

Dua Lipa made a surprise appearance on broadcaster Star Sports ahead of the India vs Netherlands match on Sunday.

There had been no news about Star Sports, the BCCI, or the ICC roping in Dua Lipa. So her appearance made huge waves among the fans. Not only this, but it’s now speculated that Dua Lipa will also be present live and perform at the closing ceremony of the World Cup 2023 next Sunday in Ahmedabad.

Dua Lipa is an Albanian singer and songwriter, who grew up in England, and is one of the most famous and followed celebrities in the world, boasting of a massive Instagram following of 88.5 million.

In the brief show for Star Sports, Dua Lipa answered a few questions from cricketers. The likes of KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Kane Williamson, Glenn Maxwell, and Ben Stokes threw various kinds of questions to her, and she gave interesting answers.

One of the questions what whether she follows cricket. Dua Lipa said that she rarely watches cricket but loves watching Rohit Sharma bat.

Rohit Sharma cracks fifty against the Netherlands

The Indian batters are dominating the Dutch bowlers in Bangalore on Sunday. All of the top 5 batters have recorded half-centuries at the time of writing. Rohit Sharma scored 61 runs in 54 balls. Shubman Gill scored 51 runs in 32 balls. Virat Kohli scored 51 runs in 56 balls. Shreyas Iyer is unbeaten on 80* off 71 balls, while KL Rahul is batting on 50* off 40 balls.

India have crossed the 300 runs score with 8 overs still to go. India will be targetting a score of over 360 with Suryakumar Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja still to come.
