Rohit Sharma Praises West Indies’ Captain Kieron Pollard

The friendship between Kieron Pollard and Rohit Sharma goes a long way. The duo has played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL for nearly a decade now. From winning the IPL trophy for their team to their partnership on the field, both of them share a great bond with each other.

As both, the cricketers gear up to take on each other in the third and final T20I, Rohit Sharma has poured in praises for the West Indies’ all-rounder for his smart captaincy.

Praising his Mumbai Indian’s teammate, Rohit Sharma said:

“I think he [Pollard] is a very smart player. Obviously, he is the captain of the team. When it comes to Mumbai, he was always part of the leadership group. Last year, for Mumbai, when I was not there for one game, he captained the team. I know how he thinks.”

He added:

“He is a very smart thinker of the game. He knows exactly how to make use of each player’s strengths. He is a very confident leader. Yes, he has great knowledge of the game. He has played so many games around the world. Yeah, that helps him handle situations on the group pretty well”

Meanwhile, the final match has kickstarted at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai. West Indies’ have chosen to bowl first after winning the toss.  Both the teams look forward to making the most of the final game to seal the series.It will be interesting to see which team will take away the series.
