Well, in a video shared by the official broadcaster of Asia Cup 2022 — Star Sports, Rohit Sharma reminded the fans about the importance of their support for the national cricket team. He also urged the fans to rally behind their team in the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup.

On Thursday, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was featured in a promotional video of the marque event titled “Mission Asia par Chhana Hai”. In the video, Rohit said that there’s no greater pride than hearing the chants of “India, India” from 140 crore fans. He said:

“Winning the Asia Cup 7 times. Being the No.1 team. Creating new world records. But there’s no greater pride than hearing 140 crore of fans chanting- “India, India”. So come with this pride let’s take the world but before that let’s conquer Asia.”

Talking about Rohit Sharma, he is currently leading the Indian T20I side of the Asian giants in the five-match series against the Windies. Under the leadership of Rohit, the Indian side will hope to defend its crown in the upcoming 15th edition of the Asia Cup.

The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will kickstart on August 27th, with hosts Sri Lanka playing against Afghanistan in the season opener. Defending Champions Indian cricket team will kickstart their campaign with a match against arch-rivals Pakistan.
