This Mumbai born cricketer plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and has made some powerful cameos with the bat as well. On 16th October, Shardul turned 28 years old and fans came out on social media to wish him on his birthday.
Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma also took to his twitter and came up with a very cheeky birthday wish that is now going viral for its own reasons.
Well, the day Shardul Thakur made his International debut he was caught in a controversy. The controversy occurred because of the jersey number 10 that Shardul Thakur was wearing. The jersey number 10 belonged to the ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar. Fans expressed their emotions and criticized Shardul Thakur for choosing that jersey.

The situation went so berserk that Shardul Thakur had to change his jersey number from 10 to 54. Now, wishing him on his birthday Rohit Sharma made a cheeky remark and said that “it takes guts to don that number”. He wrote:
“Many happy returns of the day buddy. Only the second player to wear the jersey. It takes guts to don that number but clearly you’re the best example of Impossible Is Nothing ?? @imShard”
