The new year brings new hopes for everyone as it marks the start of a new journey in everyone’s life. Apart from celebrating the New Year, people also set a goal for themselves by making new year resolutions. As the people around the world celebrate the first day of 2022 and are setting their new year resolutions, an old tweet of India’s white-ball captain Rohit Sharma has resurfaced on social media.

Well, back in 2011, Rohit Sharma had also taken a resolution and had shared it with his fans on social media. Rohit Sharma wasn’t a regular member of the team back in 2011 and was on the bench in Australia. During the opening Test match, Rohit had shared his new year’s resolution with his fans on Twitter.

He had taken to Twitter to state that he will not take things for granted, and will also help the less fortunate. He even expressed his desire to learn how to play the guitar as well.

“My resolution is to not take anything for granted, to give back a little in terms of the less fortunate & to learn how to play the guitar,”  he had written back then.

Here, check out the Tweet:

A decade later, Rohit Sharma is hailed as one of the modern legends of this game, especially when it comes to limited-overs cricket. Recently, he was named as the new white-ball captain of the Indian cricket team, replacing Virat Kohli.

However, Rohit Sharma, who was expected to lead India in the upcoming 3-match ODI series, which would have been his first assignment as ODI skipper, has been ruled out of the series because of a hamstring injury. KL Rahul has been named as the stand-by skipper with Jasprit Bumrah being his deputy.
