Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians brilliantly in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League. MI played brilliantly through the tournament and won the final against Rising Pune Supergiants. By virtue of this win, Mumbai Indians are now the most successful franchise in Indian Premier League history, as they are the only team to win the IPL title thrice.

On a personal front, Rohit would have loved to score some more runs, but it wasn’t easy going for him as he was coming back from an injury. Rohit hurt himself while batting against New Zealand in Vizag, where he injured his quadriceps while diving into the crease. Because of this injury, he had to miss the Test and ODI series against England, the one-off Test against Bangladesh and could not play in the first two Tests against Australia.

After he led Mumbai Indians to glory, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh wrote an emotional post on Instagram.

Rohit Sharma’s Wife Explains How He Went Through ‘The Hardest Six Months Of His Life’

“It’s not just because you captained your team to yet another IPL title but the fact that I’ve seen you go through possibly the hardest 6 months of your life and come out stronger, faster and more determined than ever. You’re the strongest person I know and I am so so so proud of you. Congratulations to you and all your boys on bringing the cup back home @rohitsharma45,” she wrote.
