Ross Taylor Sent A Hilarious Message To NZ Fans After Winning The WTC Final

When New Zealand’s star batsman Ross Taylor smashed a stunning four through the leg side to win the World Test Championship final against India, he ended the 21-year-old wait for the Kiwis. The tenacious New Zealand cricket team won their first major ICC trophy, ever since the 2000 ICC Knockout Trophy.

Throughout the six days of the just concluded World Test Championship final, the Kiwis displayed some brilliant performances in all the departments of the game. The Kiwis had many heroes throughout the game, however, it was Ross Taylor who smashed the winning runs.

Talking about the match, India’s sensational bowler Ravichandran Ashwin seemed to give India a much-needed breakthrough for team India by dismissing both the openers in quick successions. Ashwin picking two early wickets surely raised the hopes of the fans, however, skipper Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor had other thoughts in their mind.

Following their wickets, skipper Kane Williamson (52) and Ross Taylor (47), formed a brilliant partnership of 92 runs to chase down the target of 139 runs. The New Zealand cricket team defeated all odds and grabbed the maiden WTC trophy.

Meanwhile, after the match, Ross Taylor, who played a very crucial knock and helped his team win their maiden WTC trophy, shared a message for the New Zealand cricket fans who stayed away through the night to watch their team win the final. He said:

Go to bed!”
