Chennai Super Kings’ swashbuckling batsman Suresh Raina made a blockbuster comeback in the IPL and showed what exactly we missed in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League.

Suresh Raina, who had pulled out of IPL 2020 citing personal reasons, gave a powerful performance and proved why he is hailed as the backbone of CSK’s batting line-up as early as the first game of IPL 2021. Hailed as Mr. IPL for his batting masterclass, Suresh Raina walked out to bat at number 4 and took the game by storm. He joined hands with Moeen Ali and brought the much-needed momentum back to the game.

Raina once again came to CSK’s rescue as he steadied the ship for CSK. took his time to settle into his innings and added 53 runs with Moeen Ali for the 3rd wicket in just 6.2 overs before Ali was dismissed by R Ashwin.

From there on, Raina smashed Delhi Capitals spinners to all the corners of the ground. He smashed senior leg-spinner Amit Mishra high into the stands, tackling his googlies with his masterclass. Raina reached his fifty in style hitting a length ball from Marcus Stoinis into a vacant mid-wicket stand.

Raina scored 54 runs off 36 balls, where he smashed 3 fours and 4 stunning sixes before he was eventually run-out by Chris Woakes.

Meanwhile, people on social media went berserk after watching the stunning comeback by Raina. From fans to the cricket fraternity, everyone welcomed the swashbuckling cricketer with their special tweets. Several cricketers took to their Twitter and expressed how badly Raina was missed in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League.

Among many, RP Singh posted a beautiful tweet for Suresh Raina, where he expressed how Raina performs brilliantly under pressure. Here, check out his tweet:
