The Rajasthan Royals have reportedly offered star England white-ball captain Jos Buttler a multi-year multi-million dollar contract, as reported by British daily The Daily Telegraph, which will make it a big moment in the T20 franchise cricket.
Buttler currently plays for RR in the IPL and its sister franchise, Paarl Royals in the SA20 competition in South Africa. The Royals also own Barbados Royals in the Caribbean Premier League, but Jos is not part of the CPL currently.
The offer from Rajasthan Royals is not yet formally accepted by Jos Buttler

The IPL franchises are expanding their wings in other T20 leagues around the world, including the MLC in USA, ILT20 in UAE, and SA20 in South Africa. This expansion of the franchises has brought forward the idea of signing players to play for them in multiple tournaments.
This would also mean that these players could be asked to forego their contracts with their national boards and sign multi-year contracts with franchises. These contracts will certainly, it goes without saying, will be of much more money than their national contracts.
In case of Buttler, he is, however, also the captain of the England white-ball teams in both formats where England aims to become one of the best white-ball teams ever, having won the 2019 ODI World Cup and 2022 T20 World Cup, becoming the first team ever to hold both the ODI and T20 World Cup trophies simultaneously.
“It is understood that the offer to Buttler is yet to be formally tabled, and its unclear whether the T20 World Cup winning captain intends to accept the deal,” the report said.
It is a multi-million-pound deal but the exact amount is unknown, although it can be said with good conviction that the amount would be a lot more than Buttler’s contract with the ECB.
A spokesman for the Royals refused to comment. “This is a speculative report and we don’t comment on such stuff,” he told The Telegraph on Thursday.
