Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson is regarded as one of the most talented batsmen in India and has been a big-ticker player in the IPL. However, the Kerala batter hasn’t been able to crack international cricket. He made his T20I debut for India in 2015 but has featured in only 13 matches till now with a highest of 39; he has played a single ODI last year.
Born on November 11, 1994, in Vizhinjam, Trivandrum, Sanju Samson was a prodigy as a teenager acing the under-19 level and made his first-class debut at the age of 18 and IPL debut aged 19. He has played for Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals and last season was appointed RR’s skipper. He was retained for 14 crore by the inaugural champions ahead of the IPL 2022.
