Sachin Tendulkar calls Nicholas Pooran’s save the best he has ever seen

Since the time Nicholas Pooran has pulled off that miraculous save at the boundary line in the game between KXIP and RR, everyone is going gaga over it including the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar himself who wrote on Twitter that he had never seen a better save than that ever in his life.

Jonty, I was talking about saves on the boundary line.

In your territory (30 yard circle), you were undoubtedly the best! ?? https://t.co/tZSq3VL1Y5

It was a pull shot by the RR batsman Sanju Samson which seemed to be going over the fence quite comfortably, but Pooran had other ideas. He jumped in the air to first catch the ball and then while he was in the air outside the boundary line, he threw the ball inside before he could touch the ground.
Pooran was so far over the ropes that he just had to touch the ground and it was six, but before he could fall on the ground, he had already got rid of the ball from his hands and all Sanju Samson could get for that shot was 2 runs.
After Sachin Tendulkar himself heaped praises on Pooran for that save, the KXIP fielding coach Jonty Rhodes took to Twitter as well and quoted Sachin’s tweet saying if the God of Cricket has an opinion about something, it must be the correct opinion.
However, Sachin, thereafter, quoted Jonty’s tweet and said he was only talking about the saves that were made on the boundary lines and not the overall fielding because if he talks about fielding in the 30-yard circle, then there was and there has been none better than Jonty himself. Sachin called the 30-yard circle Jonty’s territory.
Despite Pooran’s miraculous effort and a wonderful fielding display by Kings XI Punjab in general, they still lost that game in a dramatic fashion by 4 wickets as the Rajasthan Royals successfully chased down the huge target of 220 odd, courtesy some highly skillful stroke-play by Sanju Samson, Rahul Tewatia and the captain Steve Smith himself.
It was the second out of the three games that KXIP lost and with that loss, they slipped down to the bottom half of the points table.
