Sachin Tendulkar Gave A Fitting Reply To Commentators For Crediting Pitch For Siraj’s Performance: Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has impressed one and all with his performance in the ongoing Test series against Australia. Siraj picked up 5 wickets in his maiden Test match in Australia to help India win the Test match and draw level in the series.

During the process, Siraj also became the first Indian bowler to pick 5 wickets in his maiden Test match in Australia. Not just this, in the following Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Siraj picked up 2 wickets.

Siraj has been receiving praises from all corners. Several cricketers, experts, and fans have been showering praises on Mohammed Siraj. The latest one to lavish praises on Siraj is none other than the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar Gave A Fitting Reply To Commentators For Crediting Pitch For Siraj’s Performance

Recently, while speaking on his YouTube channel, Sachin credited Mohammed Siraj for his incredible performance. He also slammed commentators for giving credit to the pitch instead of Siraj.

Well, during the ongoing Test match in Brisbane, the commentators claimed that the cracks on the pitch played a big role in Mohammed Siraj getting the ball to move and his success in the ongoing series. However, Sachin Tendulkar has given a fitting reply to the commentators. He said:

“When Mohammad Siraj was bowling, I heard a couple of guys say, ‘the ball hit the crack and nipped back’. Something which I observed was completely different. Siraj while bowling the outswinger, would get his fingers behind the ball, and release the ball. The seam is pointing towards first slip or sometimes towards second slip.

He added:

“And when he wanted to bowl the in-cutter that moves off the seam, then he would keep the shine on the off-side. He would then go cross-seam. That’s when the commentators also noticed that,”

“I don’t think the movement was off the crack, but it was Siraj’s talent, his ability to bowl those in-cutter,”
