Sachin Tendulkar Hailed Virat Kohli With A Special Message After His 29th Test Century

Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli created history as he became the first batter to score a century in the 500th match. He brought up his 29th Test century on the second day of the ongoing second Test match against the West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval. Kohli reached the milestone with a stunning boundary off Shannon Gabriel with India at 314-4.

Kohli, who was playing his 500th international match, made the day even more memorable for him and the fans by smashing a hundred.

Notably, this was also Kohli’s first international century overseas since 2018. His last overseas century came in December 2018 when team India was on a tour to Australia. Kohli now has 76 tons for India across all formats.

Kohli walked out to bat on Thursday when the Indian cricket team was reeling at 153 for 2 and he had come to within 13 runs of his century overnight at stumps with India rallying from a rocky afternoon session to reach 288-4 against West Indies. Kohli was eventually dismissed after scoring 121 runs off 206 balls. His stellar knock was laced with 11 boundaries.
