Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a name that has become synonymous with success, is hailed as one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game for the Indian cricket team, having won all the major tournaments and leagues in the game. He enjoys a great fan following across the world. Apart from the millions of fans and young cricketers who idolize him, not many are aware of the fact that Yoga Guru Sadhguru is also a big fan of MS Dhoni.

Lately, a video of Kagiso Rabada and Sadhguru has been going viral on the internet, which is from the year 2020. Sadhguru can be seen hailing the legacy of the former Indian captain, MS Dhoni in the viral video.

In the video, Rabada asks Sadhguru if he is a fan of MSD, responding to which, Sadhguru showered praises on Dhoni and talked about how his attitude transformed the Indian cricket team.

“Yes. I just met him just saw him once on a golf course. I didn’t really get to chat with him or anything. Just met him and said, “Hello”, kind of thing. But I think he brought a new sense of life to Indian cricket, you know?.”

Sadhguru further compared the Indian cricket team under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly and the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Explaining the difference between their captaincy, Sadhguru said:

“Well, Sourav Ganguly brought some victories to us and brought a new spirit and of competitiveness, but Dhoni brought a certain type of calm and control and, you know completely a different kind of atmosphere on the cricket field, a sense of bonding with everybody. I think he did a great job for the country and now I think the youngsters have built upon that in a much better way. That’s a great thing.”
