Sanjana Ganesan’s Tweet After Team India’s Defeat Proves Indian Women Cricketers Are Real ‘Heroes’: It was for the first time after 6 failed attempts that the Indian women cricket team reached the finals of the ICC World Cup after giving spectacular performances throughout the tournament. The women Indian cricket team stunned one and all with their amazing performances right from the opening match and they continued with their brilliance throughout the tournament without losing a single match.
First-time finalists India and four-time champions Australia locked horns today in the final showdown. The Australian cricket team once again dominated the match and won the title for the fifth time. The Australian cricket team with an 85-run victory over India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Before the match started Australia captain Meg Lanning won the toss and the Indian cricket team was asked to ball first. The Australian cricket team scored their highest ever scores and gave India a target of 184 runs to chase. However, the Indian cricket team was bundled up at 99 runs only and lost the game by 85 runs.
Though it was heartbreaking to see our ‘Women In Blue’ lost the prestigious cup but it was also a moment of pride for every Indian that our Indian women reached the world cup stage.

Social media is flooded with tweets and posts slamming our women in blue for their defeat, however, they don’t deserve all the trolling and bashing. Amidst many a Twitter user named Sanjana Ganesan, a popular cricket presenter, also took to her social media and wrote an amazing Tweet dedicated to the women cricketer.
In her Tweet, Sanjana Ganesan explained how this world cup tournament was made special by our Indian women cricketers. She wrote:
