MS Dhoni was all set to return to the cricket field and was seen training hard for it in the Chennai Super Kings’ training camp when the outbreak of Coronavirus happened. The much-awaited edition of the Indian Premier League was postponed indefinitely. However, the wait will soon be over as MS Dhoni will soon be seen leading Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the IPL, which is all set to start from September 19th in UAE.

As this time the IPL will take place in UAE, Sanjay Manjrekar feels that MS Dhoni and his team will do good. Citing reason behind the same in an interview on Star Sports’ show Cricket Connected, Sanjay said:
“I think he is going to be very good and one of the reasons that he is so successful and so consistent in the IPL as a batsman as opposed to international is that he knows that there are about four to five bowlers to handle,”
He added:
“And there are some good ones and there are some not so good ones in the IPL. In international, you have got five quality bowlers, so he’s so good at picking out those guys and going after them”

He further said how the conditions in UAE are perfect for MS Dhoni and he would do well there. He said:
“So, as a batter, with MS Dhoni in the IPL, I don’t see much difference. In fact, the conditions that we have, I keep saying, is just perfect for Dhoni, where’s it’s going to be about the mind and not just power hitting. These kinds of conditions, where you are not going to get the 210s and 220s too often, it’s just the kind of cricket that Dhoni loves to play.”
