Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson shared a cryptic post after he was left out of India’s squad for the upcoming home series against New Zealand. After a disappointing show at the T20 World Cup 2021, the Indian cricket team was bound to undergo some crucial changes in the shortest format of the game and the 16-members squad that was announced by the BCCI is proof that things are changing on the Indian side.

While several big names like Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Shami have been rested for the upcoming series, on the other hand, the likes of Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, etc. have earned themselves a place in the 16-member squad. However, some players were expected to make a return to the team but were snubbed.

Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan were chosen as the two wicket-keepers, leaving Samson out of the squad. Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson was seen in a red-hot form in the just-concluded IPL 2021. He played some stunning knocks for his team, which included 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries.

Considering his stunning performances for his team, Sanju was expected to make a return to the team.  However, it was Mumbai Indians’ Ishan Kishan, who caught the attention of the selectors with his performances and was given a chance.

After the 16-member squad for the New Zealand series was announced, social media started buzzing with tweets and reactions over Sanju’s exclusion from the team. In fact, #JusticeForSanjuSamson also became a trending hashtag on Wednesday

Post this, Samson also took to his Twitter and shared a few pictures of himself in India and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) jersey, taking some exceptional catches. He shared the pictures without any caption.
