Rajasthan Royals produced a stellar show of run-chase against defending champions Gujarat Titans, with captain Sanju Samson playing an instrumental role with the bat.

Samson, who was struggling to score runs in the ongoing season, having registered a couple of ducks in the previous games, bounced back to form and played a crucial knock to help his side defeat Gujarat Titans. He showed immense intent and terrific composure on the field as he took on Gujarat bowlers to all the corners of the ground.

Sanju Samson Shared A Cryptic Post

Chasing a target of 178 runs, Sanju Samson played a brilliant knock of 60 runs off 32 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer took the team home with an unbeaten 56 off 26. Samson’s knock was laced with 3 fours and 6 sixes.

Later, after the game, Samson took to his social media and shared a picture of himself on his Facebook page. However, it was the caption of the image that stole all the attention. Sharing the image, Samson wrote: “Hmmmmm”.

Check out the facebook post:

Sanju Samson not just impressed everyone with his knock but also with his leadership. Having taken Rajasthan all the way to the final last year, Samson is showing similar confidence in the ongoing season as well. After the match, Sanju said:

“When you play quality opponents on a quality wicket, you get such games. Very happy to compete in such a game and come out on top. It was important to rotate our bowlers, they were playing some quality cricket and we had to respect that. The whole team came up well today and we could restrict them to around 170. The start we had, it shows how good a wicket this was. The new ball the quality of swing bowling was good and we had to respect that.”

He added: “But today Zampa coming was a way to match up with the opponents. He was the match-up for Miller and almost got the wicket, but the catch was dropped. (On Hetmyer) He doesn’t like easy situations, we like putting him in such situations because he usually wins us games from such situations,”

Rajasthan Royals is currently sitting at the top of the points table, having won four out of the five games they have played so far in IPL 2023.
