Sarfaraz Khan Sends Message To BCCI With Aggressive Century After Being Ignored Yet Again

Sarfaraz Khan’s consistent run-scoring in domestic cricket hasn’t translated into a Test call-up for India, despite efforts at the India A level. With Virat Kohli’s absence in the first two Test matches against England, many expected Sarfaraz to finally get his chance. However, the selectors chose Rajat Patidar, leaving Sarfaraz Khan overlooked once more.

Sarfaraz Khan Sends Message To BCCI With Aggressive Century After Being Ignored Yet Again

Despite facing immense disappointment, Sarfaraz didn’t lose hope and persevered, consistently accumulating runs. In the current four-day match between India A and England Lions, the 26-year-old showcased his resilience by smashing a century in just 89 balls, strengthening his case for selection. Coming to bat after India A lost Tilak Varma at a score of 174/2, Sarfaraz has been in outstanding form, effortlessly accumulating runs.

Undoubtedly, Sarfaraz Khan is knocking on the doors of the Indian team with his impressive batting performances. He seems to be the next in line should India require an additional batter in their Test lineup in the near future.

Meanwhile, fans on social media hailed Sarfaraz Khan for his brilliance and consistency. Check out the reactions in comments below:

With a remarkable record of 3751 runs in just 44 first-class matches at an average exceeding 68, including 13 centuries and 11 fifties, his ongoing performance against England Lions raises anticipation for the runs he might add to his tally.

India is currently facing England in the first Test of the five-match series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, India A is competing against England Lions in Ahmedabad. Notably, both Sarfaraz Khan and Devdutt Paddikkal have registered centuries for India A, and the latest update indicates that India A is leading by 161 runs.
