“Even Messi Doesn’t Speak English”: Shadab Khan Hits Back At A Troll

Pakistani cricketers have often been trolled and laughed at for their ordinary and poor English speaking skills. While it is never a good thing, or even relevant, to attack the English skills of someone whose first or second language isn’t English, fans, even their own, troll the Pakistani cricketers on this topic.

Recently a social media fan tried to troll and attack pacer Hasan Ali on his English and so-called manners of social media. To this, Hasan Ali’s teammate and good friend Shadab Khan stood up and took a stance, hitting back at this troller.

First, Shadab Khan posted a few photos from his recent photo shoot. He captioned his post: “Modelling skills better? Learning from my teammates.”

Shadab Khan received love and words of affection from Hasan Ali in urdu.

“Mai sadqy jaon wari jaon apny yaar pa, Maa Sha Allah nazar na lag jaye.” Hasan Ali wrote.

These tweets from the two Pakistani cricketers went viral and received plenty of liking from the Pakistani fans. One fan, Ali Hasnain Shah, however, wasn’t pleased by the urdu language used by Hasan Ali and was triggered by the pacer showing support to the leg-spinner.

Tagging the PCB, Ali Hasnain Shah then tweeted, “For God’s Sake @RealHa55an, You are an international cricketer…!! @TheRealPCBMedia @Rehan_ulhaq @TheRealPCB at least educate them how to use social media platforms.”

Shadab Khan took notice of this remark from this fan and hit back at the troller. He said that even the great footballer Lionel Messi doesn’t speak English, and Messi is currently playing club football in America, and, Shadab added, he and Hasan want to remain genuine and don’t fake any personalities.

“Messi english na bolay theek. Foreign players english mai aesi baat ker de theek. Laikin hmy chahe ke ham natural na rahe. Hum fake personality bna le. Bhai mujhe to apne culture ya mazak mai koi sharam nahi. Allah sab ko khush rakhay aur dosre ki khushi mai bhi khush rakhay (It’s ok if Messi doesn’t speak English. It’s fine if foreign players say the same in English. However, we should avoid being natural [ourselves]. We should develop a fake personality. I don’t feel any shame in my culture or poking fun in it),” replied Shadab.

Shadab Khan will next be seen in the Asia Cup 2023, starting August 30.
