The likes of current Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and yesteryear legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Yuvraj Singh, Rahul Dravid or Sourav Ganguly failed to find a spot in Afridi’s all-time XI.

For the opening position, Shahid Afridi named former Pakistan openers Saeed Anwar and Adam Gilchrist to open the innings for his side. Ricky Ponting bats at the number 3 position for Shahid Afridi in his best-playing XI. Ponting is hailed as one of the best number three batsmen of all time. He is followed by Sachin Tendulkar at number 4.

Inzamam-ul-Haq takes fifth place, followed by South Africa’s former all-rounder Jacques Kallis. Rashid Latif, Pakistan’s former wicket-keeper batsman, takes the gloves in Shahid Afridi’s all-time XI. Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Glenn McGrath, and, Shane Warne complete the playing XI.
