The tweet soon went viral and was flooded with reactions from Twitterati, who started trolling the former Pakistani cricketer left, right, and center for his tweet. There were many who came up with hilarious jokes and memes on the same.
Among many a popular Twitter user named Mohandas Menon, who is a cricket/sports statistician according to his Twitter bio, also took to his Twitter and took a dig at Shahid Afridi. He wrote:
“We can now officially change Shahid Afridi’s DOB to 1 Mar 1977 from 1 Mar 1980. This means Afghanistan’s Usman Ghani (17y-242d) is now the youngest to score an ODI 100 (in July 2014). Afridi in Oct 1996 was 19y-217d (& not 16y-217d) when he made the famous 37-ball 100 at Nairobi.”

How can they play around with DOB? And what is PCB doing? This shows there is so dirt and cheat from domestic level in pcb.

In his autobiography, he states that he was born in the year 1975. He was not 19 but 21 when he made his debut
