Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi met Bollywood stars Sohail Khan and Aftab Shivdasani at an airport and the video of the same has been going viral on the internet. The meet-up between the celebrities from both nations came ahead of the scheduled Asia Cup 2023, which is going to start tomorrow, i.e., August 30th with a match between Pakistan and Nepal.

Shahid Afridi Met Bollywood Stars Ahead Of Asia Cup 2023

Shahid Afridi was in the United States for an extensive franchise cricket season, where he saw him take part in GT20 Canada and US Masters T10. Afridi and then two Bollywood celebrities could be seen having an animated chat in the video, shared by the Pakistan cricketer himself.

Sharing the video on his official Instagram handle, Shahid Afridi wrote:

“Have been on the road between Canada for GT20 Canada and the USA for US Masters T10 and multiple charity events for the Shahid Afridi Foundation past 40 days. I miss Pakistan. One thing is for sure, Nothing unites people more than sports, especially cricket. Love this game,”

The high-voltage Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be held on 2 September. The Indian cricket team is entering the contest after having beaten West Indies 2-1 in their last ODI series, Pakistan recently handed a 3-0 whitewash to Afghanistan.

In 132 ODIs between these two sides, India has won 55 while Pakistan has won 73. Four matches have ended in no result. In the history of the Asia Cup, both teams have played 16 matches against each other. Here, India has won nine, Pakistan has won six while one has ended in no result.

India enjoys a 7-5 win-loss ratio against Pakistan in ODIs in Asia Cup. Only one match in the 1997 edition ended in no result. India has breached the 300-run mark thrice against Pakistan in the Asia Cup, winning twice.
