28-yar-old, Shardul Thakur recently featured in the T20I and ODI series against New Zealand in New Zealand and his journey was like a roller coaster ride. While he did amazingly well in the five-match T20I series, on the other hand, he had an unforgettable time playing during the three-match ODI series.
Shardul Thakur took only three wickets during the 50-overs format of the game and gave away a lot of runs, so much so that team India came under the scanner for selecting him in the playing squad.
However, getting thrashed by the New Zealanders hasn’t made Shardul lose heart. Shardul Thakur has reflected a lot of confidence asserting that he will learn from his mistakes and will passionately work hard towards his helping the nation win the World Cup T20, which is scheduled for later this month.
India Today quoted Shardul Thakur expressing how he will help team India win the World Cup T20. He had said:
“Certainly I have my eyes on the World Cup. The positivity that I bring into the game and the amount of confidence I have, the way I am passionate about the game will help the team to win the World Cup or at least do the job fairly”

He was confident that he will learn from his mistakes and consider his lop show as a learning experience. He said:
“I will study my mistakes and consider them as learning experiences. It was only my first trip to New Zealand and as compared to the other players, I have not played as many games for India. “Currently, I am just into that phase where I am gaining experience and going forward, I will try to produce greater contributions for the team’s cause,”
Furthermore, Shardul Thakur also talked about the upcoming season of IPL. Shardul Thakur, who plays for Chennai Super Kings is now eying the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a preparatory step for the World Cup.
