Shashi Tharoor Slams Team India’s Management For Dropping R Ashwin

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was clearly not impressed with the decision of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and team management to not include Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing XI for the 4th Test match. India made two changes in the playing squad for the fourth Test against England at The Oval, however, the fans were left befuddled after India decided to play without Ashwin in the 4th Test at the Oval.

R Ashwin, who is the world’s number 2 bowler, is yet to make an appearance in the ongoing 5-match Test series against England. Several people around the world were rooting for his place in the playing XI after India lost the 3rd Test match at Headingley with an innings and 76 runs, however, the Indian skipper decided to stick to his four pacers and a spinner theory.

Apart from him, India also decided to not include Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma for the 4th Test match and replaced them with Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was left disappointed with the decisions of the Indian team management. He took to his Twitter and slammed India for leaving out Ashwin again. He also stated that the selection for The Oval Test has been like a death wish. He wrote:

I can’t believe they left out Ashwin again, on England’s most spin-friendly ground. This team is unbelievable. You pick your five best bowlers,@ashwinravi99 has to be the first or second name. Omitting him & @MdShami11 at the Oval is like a death-wish — as if you want to lose!”
