Shaun Tait vs Brett Lee: Who bowled the fastest over ever?

It is always good to see fast bowlers steaming in and rattling the stumps. And when it comes to the Australian fast bowlers, the experience becomes even more special because of their aggression. Australian fast bowlers have always been the best of the lot whenever it came to bowling the fastest of balls. Be it Dennis Lillee, Brett Lee, Shaun Tait or Mitchell Johnson, their raw pace and intimidating attitude separates them from the rest.

Here, we look at two of the fastest bowlers from Australia and their fastest deliveries.

Shaun Tait didn’t achieve anything spectacular  in his international career but he will always be remembered as one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket. In 2009/10, in a T20 match against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Shaun Tait bowled an incredibly fast over and this could just be the fastest over ever bowled. The slowest ball in that over was recorded at 150.5 km/h (93.5mph) while the fastest was clocked to be 160.7 km/h (99.7 mph).

Talking about Australian fast bowlers, it is impossible to ignore Brett Lee, who is one of the best fast bowlers to have ever played the game of cricket, across all three formats. Brett Lee belongs to that rare league of fast bowlers who could also swing the ball at such incredible place. There was one instance when Lee had bowled an insanely fast over with two balls clocking 160+ kph and 3 others 158+ kph.
