In recent years, Kohli has been very outspoken about his spirituality and how it has helped him to relax.
Shikhar Dhawan, an Indian cricket player, said that India’s best batter, Virat Kohli, has become spiritual over the previous five to seven years. He added that he discusses the issue frequently with Kohli. Since being cut from the ODI squad in January, Dhawan has been striving for a recall to the Indian team.
Kohli, in particular, has been very outspoken in recent years about his spirituality and how it has helped him to relax. He has a new outlook on life after touring temples with his wife, Anushka Sharma.
“I do have conversations with Virat (Kohli) about spirituality. He has been inclined towards spirituality quite a lot in the past five to seven years. He has inspired a lot of people,” said Dhawan on ‘The Ranveeer Show Hindi’.
The former India captain had not scored a century in international cricket for almost a thousand days, starting in the year 2020. In an interview given in 2022, Kohli admitted that this period of his life was the lowest point in which he never wanted to pick up a bat again.
He eventually pulled himself out of this funk by becoming more devout and paying regular visits to temples across the country. He has been able to break his extended century drought and score runs across all formats thanks to this.
Dhawan, a southpaw, is captain of the Punjab Kings in the current season of the Indian Premier League. With him at the helm, PBKS has defeated Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals to start the season 2-0.
Shikhar Dhawan starts the IPL campaign on a high for PBKS
In the second game against RR, he scored the most runs (86) for his team with a scorching 56-ball knock that included 9 fours and 3 sixes. Thanks to his innings, Punjab reached a mammoth total of 197/4 in their allotted 20 overs, which was enough to secure a five-run victory.
However, Kohli has also gotten off to a strong start in the IPL, batting 82 not out off 49 balls in RCB’s opening game against MI. In the second game, though, he was dismissed for a low score after reaching only 21 runs off 18 balls against KKR.
