Shivam Dube made a blockbuster impact on the recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan, which India clean-swept 3-0. The 30-year-old made significant contributions to the wins in the first two games, and duly bagged the Player of the Series award, his first in India colors.
With Hardik Pandya missing the series due to an ankle injury, Shivam Dube, who made a comeback to Team India last year following a magnificent IPL season with champions Chennai Super Kings, got the opportunity against Afghanistan and grabbed it with both hands.
The left-hander played an unbeaten 60-run knock in 40 balls and took one wicket in the first T20I in Mohali. In the second T20I, in Indore, Dube tore into the Afghanistan bowlers with his powerful hitting, which included a hat-trick of sixes to Mohammad Nabi, and blasted 63* runs in 32 balls as India made a mockery of the target of 173 runs. He also scalped the wicket of Azmatullah Omarzai.

Hailing from Mumbai, Shivam Dube married his longtime girlfriend Anjum Khan in 2021. With Anjum being a Muslim there were nasty, vile, and distasteful comments on social media once Dube and Anjum announced their marriage. The families of both, though, have given them full support in their marriage and relationship. Anjum, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, is a model and actor and has worked in Hindi serials and music albums.
The couple got married in both Hindu and Muslim customs in July 2021. Less than a year after their wedding, the pair became parents to a baby boy.

Shivam Dube and Anjum Khan are active on social media and regularly share pictures on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Dube’s next major assignment will be the IPL 2024 season with CSK. Last year, he had his breakthrough season as he cracked 418 runs at a strike rate of 158.
