Former Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was seen performing 12th man duties in the ongoing first Test match against England in Manchester. Sarfaraz failed to find a spot in Pakistan’s playing XI for the first Test and had to perform the duties of a 12th man.
Several videos have been going viral on social media where he can be seen carrying shoes and bottles in the middle after the wicket replacement Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed in the 71st over of 1st innings of Pakistan.
Shoaib Akhtar Slammed PCB’s Management After Sarfaraz Ahmed Carried Shoes And drinks
Well, this incident was noticed by the fans and several cricketers, who are now slamming the PCB’s management for insulting the former skipper like this.
Former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who is popular for his controversial opinions on cricketers, slammed PCB’s management and thrashed them for insulting a senior player like this. He said:
“I didn’t like the visual. If you want to make an example out of a boy from Karachi, then it is wrong. You can’t do this to a player who has led Pakistan for four years and has won the Champions Trophy for the country. You have made him carry the shoes. If he has done it himself, then stop him. Wasim Akram never brought shoes for me.”

He further called Sarfaraz as a ‘docile or weak man’ for succumbing to the domination of the management. He said:
“This shows that Sarfaraz is such a docile and weak man. He must have led Pakistan in the same way as he carried the shoes. That’s why Mickey Arthur always dominated him. I am not saying carrying the shoes is a problem, but the former captain can’t do that,”
