Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has received significant support from people in Pakistan following the revelation by her ex-husband, Shoaib Malik, about his marriage to TV actor and model Sana Javed. Social media users have criticized Malik and Sana for breaking their respective marriages while expressing support for Sania’s decision to seek a divorce from the Pakistani cricketer.
Adding fuel to the controversy, a podcast on Samaa TV suggested that Malik and Sana had been involved in an affair and intimate relations for the past three years, despite being married. The podcast also claimed that Sana had been divorced for only three months from her former husband, Umair Jaswal, when she married Malik.

The podcast highlighted that whenever Malik was invited for shows on the channel, his participation was contingent on the condition that Sana should also be invited.
“They were having an affair for the last three years and were intimately involved,” a producer of the podcast said.
“Umair didn’t know about this, but Sania Mirza and her family and even Malik’s family came to know about it last year. Efforts were made to resolve the situation but Malik didn’t listen to anyone,” the producer added.
Malik and Sania had a grand wedding in 2010 in Hyderabad, India, while Sana and Jaswal got married in a private ceremony in 2020. The news of Malik and Sania’s separation became apparent only after the former cricketer and Sana shared a photograph from their marriage.
In other news, media reports suggested that Malik was being scrutinized for ‘match-fixing’ following his bowling of three no-balls in a single over during a match against Khulna Tigers, leading to the termination of his contract. However, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Malik clarified that his exit from the franchise had been pre-decided and was unrelated to the ‘match-fixing’ rumors, which he deemed ‘false.’
