SL vs IND: Ajit Agarkar Breaks Silence On Whether Ravindra Jadeja is Dropped

SL vs IND: The Indian selectors has already announced the squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka which features  T20Is and 3 ODIs. This is definitely the start of new chapter in Indian Cricket with Gautam Gambhir taking over as the head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team. There have been several inclusions and exclusions made in the team. One of them has been the exclusion of Ravindra Jadeja from the ODI squad for the tour.

India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 under captain Rohit Sharma and Head Coach, Rahul Dravid. This marked the end of 11 years without an ICC trophy. After the final, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game. It was also the final game for Rahul Dravid as the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team.

Jadeja has been brilliant in test cricket. However, his number in ODIs and especially T20 cricket does not match the quality that he has as a player. He is a brilliant fielder, a good left arm spinner and a handy batter down the order. Meanwhile, with his name not being in the ODI squad for Sri Lanka, fans have already come to the conclusion that he will not be considered in the ODI format anymore.
