The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill. The whole entertainment arena and sporting events around the world. Major cricketing tournaments like the much-awaited IPL 2020, which has now been postponed in the wake of the ongoing pandemic, which has led to the countrywide lockdown.
Several cricketers from around the world have joined the bandwagon to spread awareness about the disease, from the very start of the lockdown. Recently, the ‘Hitman’ Sharma of the cricket world was in conversation with two Indian women cricket stars –  Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues. During the video chat, the trio discussed many things including many on-field as well as off-field instances. India’s swashbuckling player Smriti Mandhana also shared a hilarious incident, when she was smashed by Mohammed Shami’s in-dipper. Recalling the incident, Smriti revealed that when Shami was bowling at 120 kph for Mandhana and had promised that he won’t bowl on her body. She revealed:

“
I remember playing Shami bhaiyya (Mohd Shami) during his rehab time. He was bowling at 120 kph for us. He promised me that he wouldn’t bowl on my body and he assured me of bowling at 5th or 6th stump,”

She added:

“
I got beaten for first two balls as I was not used to the pace. On the third ball, his in-dipper got hit on my inner thigh and it got swollen for 10 days”

Rohit Sharma also revealed that Mohammed Shami was the trickiest bowler he had to face in the nets. He revealed:

“The pitches we have for net sessions are almost always green with moisture. And whenever Shami sees a green pitch, he eats extra biryani! Bumrah is also difficult but he has been around only for two-three years. Shami, I have been playing since 2013. But yeah, right now there must be a competition going on between Bumrah and Shami, on who beats the bat most, who can hit the most on the helmets”
