Virat Kohli is smashing batting records one after the other. He scored his 33rd One Day International century at Durban and left everyone in awe of him yet again. Virat Kohli is already the batsman with most ODI centuries in chases. Virat Kohli now has 20 ODI centuries in chases from just 203 ODIs.

On the list of most ODI centuries Virat Kohli is followed by Sachin Tendulkar who has 17 ODI centuries.

But The Great Sachin Tendulkar has a lead of 16 ODI centuries. Sachin holds the record for the most ODI centuries with 49 ODI centuries from 463 One Day Internationals. With Kohli second on the list with 33 ODI centuries from just 203 ODIs, the burning question becomes, will Virat Kohli go past Sachin Tendulkar and steal his glory?

When asked if Virat will break Sachin’s record, here’s what Sourav Ganguly said:

“Virat is really, really special and the more we see him the more we feel that he is unbelievable. The chase last night was just remarkable. He is a special player. I don’t see a reason why not he will get close to Sachin Tendulkar’s record in one day cricket,”
