South Africa has always been one of the best sides to play limited overs cricket. They’ve had the privilege of having the services of some really extraordinary talents. So, we bring you South Africa’s all time T20 XI. This team is extraordinary because each player in this team is extraordinary.

Openers

Herschelle Gibbs
AB De Villiers

Both of them are explosive batsman and can give flying starts to the team. AB De Villiers is one of the best batsman ever to have played the game while Gibbs is one of the best openers South Africa could ever get.

We also appoint AB De Villiers as the captain of this team. This is one formidable opening pair. Isn’t it?

Middle Order

One Down: Hashim Amla
Two Down: JP Duminy
Three Down: Heinrich Klaasen (Wk)
Fourth Down: David Miller

Too much destruction in the middle order too! Klaasen has shown how he can send the ball to the orbit and Miller and Duminy are among best T20 players of South Africa ever. Hashim Amla too gets a place in our playing XI.

All Rounders

Jacques Kallis
Albie Morkel
Chris Morris

If you have 3 Match Winning all rounders in your team, you can then win about any battle. This is the best lot of all rounders a team can have and they’re all match winners.

Bowlers

Dale Steyn
Imran Tahir

South Africa’s All Time T20I XI

Steyn had to be there without a doubt. Dale Steyn is the best weapon in South Africa’s pace arsenal and you just can’t keep him away. There had to be at least one spinner too in the team and we chose Imran Tahir.
So, how would you rate this squad?
