Tonight the IPL battle was won by Sunrisers Hyderabad defeating Kings XI Punjab by 13 runs in the home ground at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad were asked to bat first after the toss was won by Kings XI Punjab who chose to bowl first. KXIP had to chase the target of 132 runs in 20 overs.
In the first innings, the players of Kings XI Punjab showed their extra-ordinary bowling skills and didn’t let the players of Sunrisers Hyderabad score a huge number at the scoreboard.
Ankit Rajpoot, the young ace-bowler of Kings XI Punjab stole all the limelight with his great bowling skills. His extra-ordinary bowling techniques helped the team to take five major wickets of Sunrisers Hyderabad, first one being the wicket of the skipper of SRH, Kane Williamson, who was sent back to pavilion at zero runs.
Manish Pandey scored 54 runs but in 51 balls. Yes, that was the level of bowling today in the match. He was bowled out by Ankit Rajpoot. Shakib Al Hasan, the star player of Sunrisers Hyderabad was dismissed at the score of 28 runs that he scored in 29 balls.
In the second innings, the players of KXIP performed well but fell short of 13 runs. KL Rahul scored 32 runs in 26 balls, he was bowled out by Rashid Khan.
The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle only scored 23 runs in 22 balls. The rest of the players failed to score great numbers today and ended up loosing the match to SRH.
