Sri Lanka vs India: [WATCH] Hardik Pandya Gives A Glaring Stare To Kusal Perera After Dismissing Him: The Gautam Gambhir era started with a win. India beat Sri Lanka in the first match of the 5-game T20I series by 43 runs. They were sensational with the bat as they scored 213 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka were all out for 170 runs. Today, both the teams face each other in the second T20I in Palekelle.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first. There was one notable change made in the Indian playing XI. Sanju Samson replaced vice-captain, Shubman Gill in the playing XI. At the toss Sky said that Shubman Gill woke up with neck spasm on the day of the second T20I. So, he was rested in the game and Samson was included in the playing XI. Samson will likely open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal when India comes to chase the total.

Meanwhile, Kusal Perera was going all guns blazing. He was smashing the Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground and was threatening to take the Sri Lankan innings to a dangerous total. Hardik Pandya provided the breakthrough for India by picking up the crucial wicket of Kusal Perera. Pandya bowled a short ball on the body and Perera played the pull shot with no timing. Rinku Singh completed an easy catch. Pandya gave Perera a death stare after picking up his wicket.
